![]() ![]() It works well with the AX=1 and the FC-7 peddle. The idea of setting up entire shows ahead of time is great. I'm pleased I purchased the VA-76 and have had much success on stage with it. The weight is a bit much for me but it is built strongly and can take a fair amount of shipping around. I don't like the sounds of the piano function. I should have realized that this machine requires it's zip drive to be working for all the functions to be worthwhile. The features are easy to access and enjoyable to work with. I really like the sounds and the factory patterns on it's zip disk. It cost about $4900 but I had a credit and two keyboards to trade in on it so my expenditure was much less. I purchased the unit about five years ago in Toronto Ontario at Long and McQuade Music on Bloor Street. Other than that I find the machine to be workable and enjoyable. I wonder if anyone else has had this problem and if they have any advice for me. My problem is that the zip drive has stopped functioning. It took work but as time went on I learned tricks and ways to operate the keyboard with ease. I must say I enjoyed it and from time to time incorporated many of its' features into some of the songs I played. I'm just thinking to go there, but, for instance, I would not leave my keyboard there for couple of weeks. I'm quite used to work with computers. I saw somwhere that I can replace the ZIP drive with a common IOMEGA internal ZIP drive with IDE interface. I just replaced my zip drive on my 8 year old Roland G1000.With care, the drives can last. the only thing is that Roland recommands to format the zip disk with the keyboard, and then use it with a PC, so with RDBM. Yes I tried nultiple new zip disks with the same result. If you have the same problem with another disk, it is most likely your zip drive. I thank in advance every one of you who could give some ideas (just before to bring the keyboard to a ROLAND assistance center). (I had the 2.0 OS previously installed, then I installed 2.1 OS, but nothing changed on this matter). Please, does anybody have a clue of wich kinf of problem(s) could be on my keyboard.
